1. Service Warranty

1.1 What's covered

Eligible services carry a workmanship warranty, and where UBOND supplies parts, a parts warranty:

Service typeWorkmanship warrantyParts warranty
Appliance repair & servicing (AC, refrigerator, washing machine, RO, geyser, and similar)15 days on the same faultPlatform-supplied part: as stated, or the manufacturer warranty where longer

The applicable period is shown on the warranty record issued with each completed booking, and starts from the job-completion time.

1.2 How the warranty works

  • It covers only the same fault on the same item/part that was serviced.
  • Within the warranty window, a covered recurrence entitles you to a free re-service — routed to the same technician where possible.
  • To claim, use "Claim warranty" on the booking (or contact support) within the window, with your booking ID and a short description.

1.3 What the warranty does not cover

  • A new or unrelated fault (a different component or issue).
  • Third-party tampering or repair by anyone outside UBOND after the service.
  • Misuse, or physical, liquid, impact, or power-surge damage occurring after the service.
  • Customer-supplied parts the technician was asked to fit.
  • Faults the technician disclosed and you declined to fix.
  • Consumables and normal wear, and damage from environmental events (flood, lightning, and similar).

A commercial warranty is in addition to the statutory rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, which cannot be excluded.

2. Damage Protection

Damage Protection revision: effective 30 October 2026.

UBOND Services provides platform-administered Damage Protection for eligible customer bookings. This Policy explains what is covered, how to report damage and how claims are assessed.

Protection limit: up to ₹10,000 per incident, unless a different category-specific limit is expressly displayed and confirmed in your booking.

2.1 How Damage Protection Works

If a technician causes verified accidental physical damage to your property or the appliance being serviced during an eligible service visit, UBOND will assess your claim and arrange appropriate repair, replacement or reimbursement, subject to this Policy.

Damage Protection is administered directly by UBOND. It is not an insurance policy. You do not need to pursue the technician personally to receive compensation for an approved claim.

2.2 What Is Covered

Subject to verification and the applicable protection limit, Damage Protection covers:

  • Accidental physical damage to the appliance being serviced caused by the technician.
  • Accidental damage to surrounding property, including floors, walls, fixtures or furniture, during the service visit.
  • Additional physical damage resulting from verified technician negligence or improper workmanship.
  • Physical damage caused by careless handling, improper installation or improper service procedures.

2.3 What Is Not Covered

Damage Protection does not cover:

  • Pre-existing damage or the original fault reported for repair.
  • Normal wear and tear, ageing or gradual deterioration.
  • Indirect or consequential losses, including data loss, business loss, loss of income or inconvenience.
  • Damage caused by faulty customer-supplied parts or materials.
  • Damage resulting from specific customer instructions where the associated risks were clearly explained and accepted before the work.
  • Natural disasters, acts of God or events beyond reasonable control.
  • Risks or existing defects disclosed to and accepted by the customer before the service.
  • Fraudulent, exaggerated or unsupported claims.

2.4 How to Report Damage

Please report the damage through the UBOND application or official customer support within 72 hours of service completion.

Your report should include:

  • Your booking ID.
  • A description of what happened and the damage caused.
  • Relevant photographs or videos.
  • Any additional information reasonably requested to assess the claim.

Please preserve the damaged item and avoid repairs or alterations before inspection. If immediate action is necessary to protect someone’s safety or prevent further damage, take the necessary precautions and document the condition and action taken where possible.

2.5 How We Assess Your Claim

UBOND will acknowledge your claim within 24 hours of receiving it.

During the assessment, we may:

  • Review photographs, videos, service records and job timestamps.
  • Obtain a statement from the technician.
  • Contact you or the technician for clarification.
  • Arrange a reasonable inspection where necessary.
  • Review other relevant evidence.

We will assess the claim fairly, considering the available evidence and the actual damage. A claim may be approved, partially approved or rejected. We will communicate our decision and explain the reasons.

UBOND aims to resolve claims within 7–10 working days after receiving the necessary information and evidence. If further investigation is needed, we will explain the reason for the delay and provide an expected timeline.

2.6 Repair, Replacement or Reimbursement

Depending on the assessment, UBOND may arrange:

  • Repair of the damaged property or appliance.
  • Replacement, where repair is not reasonably practical and replacement is justified.
  • Reimbursement of the reasonable assessed repair or replacement cost.

The total compensation for an incident will not exceed the applicable protection limit.

We will confirm any approved compensation and explain how the resolution will be carried out.

2.7 Technician Responsibility

Where an investigation establishes that damage resulted from a technician’s negligence, carelessness, misconduct or improper service, the technician may be held financially responsible, subject to the Technician Agreement and applicable law.

Before seeking recovery from the technician, UBOND will:

  1. Review the available evidence.
  2. Inform the technician of the allegation.
  3. Give the technician a reasonable opportunity to respond.
  4. Determine responsibility and the reasonable amount recoverable.

Any recovery or payment adjustment must comply with the Technician Agreement and applicable law.

UBOND will handle your approved Damage Protection claim independently of any recovery action against the technician. You will not be required to recover the amount directly from the technician.

2.8 Requesting a Review

If your claim is rejected or partially approved, we will explain the reasons.

You may request a review through official UBOND support within 7 calendar days of receiving the decision. Please include any additional information or evidence you would like us to consider.

UBOND will review the appeal and communicate its final decision with reasons.

2.9 Your Cooperation

To help us assess and resolve your claim, please:

  • Provide accurate information about the incident.
  • Share genuine photographs, videos and supporting evidence.
  • Allow a reasonable inspection where necessary.
  • Take reasonable steps to prevent further damage.
  • Avoid submitting duplicate, fraudulent or misleading claims.

2.10 Policy Administration and Your Rights

UBOND administers this Damage Protection arrangement and assesses eligible claims under this Policy.

This arrangement is not an insurance contract and does not cover every type of loss.

Nothing in this Policy removes or limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.

For help with a claim or review request, please contact UBOND through the official support channels published on our website.

3. Safety & Conduct

Safety runs both ways — customers and technicians are both protected.

  • A technician may refuse or stop any job that is unsafe, abusive, or coercive, and can trigger an SOS. For immediate risks (fire, electric shock, gas leak, flooding, or injury), prioritise safety and contact the appropriate emergency services first.
  • If a visit is aborted due to customer misconduct, the applicable visit/minimum charge may apply.
  • Abuse, harassment, threats, non-payment, false claims, or theft may lead to warnings, suspension, or a ban, and lawful action where warranted.
  • A false damage claim results in the claim being rejected; genuine claims are never disadvantaged by this.

4. Raising an incident or getting help

Contact support@ubond.in or +91 9725705784 with your booking ID. You may also approach the National Consumer Helpline (1915), the appropriate consumer commission, or any other competent forum available to you under law — our internal process does not limit those rights.
